Ayurveda Perspective

In Ayurveda, joint health is deeply connected to the balance of Vata dosha, especially subtype called Vyana Vata which governs movement and circulation. Joints ( Sandhis ) are considered the vital points where bones ( Asthi Dhatu ) meet, and maintaining their lubrication and strength is essential for pain free mobility.

Vata imbalance is the most common cause of joint pain , stiffness and degeneration .           

  Pitta imbalance may cause inflammation and burning sensation.

  Kapha imbalance can lead to swelling and heaviness in the joints.

 The Asthi Dhatu ( bone tissue )and Majja Dhatu ( bone marrow / nervous tissue ) are nourished by proper digestion ( Agni ) and balance metabolism.

 Weak Agni or improper lifestyle leads to accumulation of Ama ( toxins ), which blocks the natural channels( strotas), causing joint stiffness and pain.
